World History is a year-long course examining not only the history of the world, but also how history is organized and the importance of studying history.  Relevant connections to modern day global situations will be examined, as well as cause and effect, patterns, and other relevant topics.  Topics examined include the classical world, the decline of major empires, world religions, industrialization, nationalism, political reform, imperialism, WWI, WWII, the Cold War, and more contemporary topics.  We will build on prior knowledge of World History and acquire not only knowledge, but also necessary skills to participate as responsible citizens in an increasingly shrinking world.
